Hardly a vibration

Hardly a Vibration …sat in the domed refectory at Buxton, with its high hung ceremonial orb mometarily still, I show one of my fellow students a poem from a new book of poetry by Michael Donaghy, Philip, for that is the mature students name goes into rapture, with obvious pleasure he explains much of the history of The Moko to this simple man. I talk of this and other poets and artists in these twenty four poems, it is a joy to have the time to read poetry deeply, to stare into the firelight without fear of interruption, I am often of the mind that only with this stillness can the concentrated juices of creation truly erupt.
