The sphere, ellipsoidal now, collides with air currents is the week at Emerson College, this was Mimi Khalvaki saying yes it is... I forget the word, something about being a beginning, a middle and an end - anyway at first I took it as a compliment, but ever since I have doubted. Fifteen poems written in a single room, or in the class among a group of poets who put up with my chain smoking and endless need for the cricket score, in that one off summer when we beat the Aussies and Ms Kidman read me her poem of The Planets
